– Kevin Owens' New Day mandate ended quickly as he attacked Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on Smackdown. Owens played after Kingston on tonight's show after the world champion saved Owens from Shinsuke Nakamura's attack after Kingston defeated Nakamura at the main event. Owens beat Kingston down, then hit Woods with the Powerbomb deck. You can see photos and videos from the segment below.
Once the attack was over, he announced to Kofi that he was standing for the world championship. Kingston vs Owens has not been officially announced for Money in the Bank, but that seems to be the direction they are going to take.
Owens joined the team to replace Big E. in last week's Smackdown match because of his injury, but that's obviously over.
the #NewNewDay is canceled.
