Ghanaian star, Kevin-Prince Boateng, has confirmed that he will join the champions of Spain, Barcelona, from Sbaduolo.
"Barca, I'm coming!" Boateng said Sky sports. "I'm sad to leave Sbaduolo, but it's a chance. "
also downplayed earlier comments on Real Madrid, its fierce rival.
In an interview in 2017, Boateng responded that he preferred Real Madrid to Barcelona.
Boateng however says that he is focusing on his new club and hopes to find the net against Real Madrid at Clasico.
"Do not ask me questions about Real Madrid … it's just past! I just want to focus on Barcelona and hope to score in Bernabéu for the next Clásico."
The 31-year-old will join Barcelona on loan until the end of the season. The club will have the option of signing it permanently for eight million euros.
Boateng joined Sbaduolo only in the summer and scored four goals in 13 Serie A games, playing a more advanced role recently.
Boateng scored 10 goals in 28 appearances for Las Palmas in 2016-17 before leaving for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Boateng's European career has also led him to play for Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Tottenham, Portsmouth and Milan.
Barcelona is looking to strengthen its offensive options since Munir El Haddadi joined Sevilla.
