The move of Prince Boateng to Barcelona is almost complete
Sbaduolo striker Kevin-Prince Boateng is Barcelona's No.9 to reinforce his attack. Barcelona will lend it until the end of the season with an option to purchase after that.
The Ghanaian-Ghanaian striker has arrived at the Italian camp this season from Eintracht Frankfurt. Previously, he played for Las Palmas during the 2016-17 campaign but left for family reasons. He scored 10 goals and 5 badists in 28 Liga games and a King's Cup clash.
In the current campaign, he played 15 games with Sbaduolo, scoring five goals and providing two badists.
The 31-year-old striker was out for December with a pelvic injury. However, he is now fit and played 90 minutes against Inter Milan last weekend.
Boateng arrives to cover the spot left by Munir El Haddadi, who has moved to Sevilla as substitute for Luis Suarez.
With Ousmane Dembele absent for two to three weeks, Boateng's signature was accelerated.
Barca's directors and coaches, Ernesto Valverde, met Monday morning to make a final decision about Dembele. The green light has been given.
Boateng arrives Monday afternoon after announcing to his teammates this morning that he was going to join the Catalans.
KPB may play in offense or as offensive midfielder and has good experience after playing in the Bundesliga (Hertha Berlín, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke), Premier League (Tottenham, Portsmouth) and Serie A (Genoa, Milan and now Sbaduolo) ).
Boateng arrives on loan for 2 million euros with an option of buying 8 million euros.
The brother of Germany and Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng, Kevin is a Ghanaian international.
