Authorities at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have warned the academic community of the increase in COVID cases on campus.
In an alert, the school administration warned college registrars and students to be on high alert and to observe all protocols in place to fight the virus.

Meanwhile, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has also warned of increasing COVID cases in the metropolis.
“The upsurge in new cases in the metropolis has been mainly attributed to the general disregard for Covid-19 security protocols, funerals, parties and other social gatherings.
“From July 1 to July 13, 2021, health establishments in the metropolis recorded more than 200 cases of infection with 10 deaths occurring in various treatment centers in the metropolis. “
“The general public is therefore requested to urgently continue to respect all Covid-19 safety protocols, that is to say, wearing a face mask in public places, washing hands with soap under water. routine, avoiding handshakes and social distancing, ”a KMA statement said.
