The "Year of the Return" Steering Committee will welcome World Wrestling Entertainment Champion Kofi Kingston on Thursday at his arrival at the airport for a four – day visit to Ghana.
This visit would be his first trip to Ghana since 1993, and he sees it as the perfect time to make this trip during the year of return celebrations.
A statement issued and copied by the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday in Accra said the committee was excited to be part of its historic return and acknowledged the importance of its presence in Ghana.
The wrestling champion, born under the name of Kofi Sarkodie-Mensah, would be in the country from Thursday, May 30 to Sunday, June 2, which, according to the committee, would shed light on Ghana.
During his stay, he would have the opportunity to meet the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to visit his fatherly and maternal hometowns at Ejisu and Atwima Techiman, as well as the Menhyia Palace, where he would pay tribute to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.
According to the release, he would also travel with a documentary crew that would capture his experiences during his trip.
