Mr. Kwame Safa Kayi, president of the Kokrokoo Charities Foundation and Peace FM radio host, said in collaboration with well-intentioned companies and individuals, domestic and foreign, "Project 100 aims to buy and donate 100 incubators. for babies at hospitals the country by the end of 2019.

"We have already installed and delivered 31 baby incubators to 20 hospitals in 10 regions."

He said the next project beneficiary hospitals would be KNUST and Agogo hospitals in the Ashanti region.

Mr. Sefa Kayi said that through the project he hoped to "give hope to mothers and keep children alive, while generating considerable empathy and funds from the general public and the business community in favor of of neonatal health.

He has been invited by Ghanaians to his home and abroad to contribute to the establishment of a more engaged and caring attitude towards the health of newborns.

The project was launched in 2014 with the goal of raising funds for the purchase of a total of 100 incubators for health facilities across the country.

According to UNICEF statistics, about 140,000 children are born prematurely in Ghana each year and more than 8,000 of them die before 30 days.
