The BBC is looking for a rising star in African journalism for the BBC World News' Komla Dumor Award, now in its fifth year.
Journalists from across the continent are invited to apply for this award, which aims to discover and promote new talent from Africa.
The winner will spend three months at the BBC headquarters in London to acquire skills and experience.
Applications will be closed on February 26, 2019 at 23:59 GMT.
This award was created to honor Komla Dumor, an outstanding Ghanaian broadcaster and presenter of BBC World News, who died suddenly at the age of 41 in 2014.
This year's prize is launched from the Nigerian city of Lagos.

He will be speaking to an outstanding personality who lives and works in Africa, combining strong journalism skills, flair and exceptional talent to tell African stories with ambition and ambition. the potential to become a star of the future.
In addition to spending time with the BBC in London, the laureate will also travel to Africa to tell a story – and share it across the continent and the world.

- 2018 Waihiga Mwaura from Kenya
Kenyan journalist Waihiga Mwaura won the award last year and his report to Togo for his main project on young innovators turning electronic waste into 3D printers and robots.
Waihiga said that you can always feel "the pbadion of how Komla told African history".
"His willingness to change the discourse on Africa was one of the reasons he distinguished himself among other international broadcasters," said the 2018 award winner.
"I think the internship at the BBC – working with Komla's friends and colleagues – has helped to continue Komla's remarkable work, and I look forward to seeing a day when more African journalists of Komla's caliber will be able to tell unique African stories to different outlets in the world ".

Waihiga will participate in the launch ceremony in 2019 by presiding over a debate for the BBC World Service on the power of Nigerian youth in the upcoming elections.
Before the launch, Jamie Angus, Director of the BBC World Service Group, said:
"At a time when unbiased and factual journalism is never more important, it is important to speak to journalists who know, understand and can contextualize African stories for a global audience in order to be able to portray complete picture of what is happening on the continent.
"All previous winners have shown that they were outstanding journalists and provided insights on how to improve engagement with the local audience.
"We are very happy to continue Komla's legacy and look forward to finding another outstanding journalist on the continent."
