In a statement, Korle Bu University Hospital rejected claims that a child died at the hospital after swallowing a coin.
According to the hospital management, the coin is lowered into the stomach of the patient and they are waiting for the results of pbading stool.
The statement adds that the child is well and has been discharged from hospital, contrary to the information reported by the workers when she fought for her life.

Korle Bu revealed that the patient had been admitted to her otolaryngology department after being transferred from another health facility.
The patient was rapidly administered intravenously to avoid weaknesses, while efforts were made to remove the room, if necessary.
The hospital said it would not hesitate to sue any person or group of people who circulated false information.
This statement comes after reports of death following the ingestion of a coin by a child have become viral on social media.
In another report, residents of Anomabo in the central region benefited from free medical services provided by Ghana Medical Relief (GMR).

GMR, made up of doctors and volunteers from Ghana and the United States of America, embarked on the health exercise to provide a variety of services.
Services provided for four free days include pediatric, urology, general health, dental, gynecology and obstetrics services.
More than 3000 residents of Anomabo took part in the exercise. According to Dr. Samuel Kwapong Owusu, GMR's doctor and president, the number of cases of fibroids identified in the screening of women has caused great concern.
He took this opportunity to urge community members, especially women, to undergo regular medical checks.
