Kotoko's match Kotoko to face Hearts of Oak in Accra on June 16

Asante Kotoko asked for a two-legged tie for her semifinal matchup of the Special Committee's Normalization Cup against Hearts of Oak.

Kotoko's application is based on the previous competition rules published on February 7, 2019. Article 11 (5) states that the four teams (qualifying group) must participate in two leg semi-finals. and two winners qualify for the final.

At the same time, Article 12 (5) of the new regulation published on 22 March 2019 stipulates that the semi-final matches will be exceptional and that the team which finishes at the top of its group will have the privilege to play at home.

The home teams will therefore pocket the full amount of the race but Kotoko will declare in a statement that it will be "unfair and unfair".

The club suggests a single match played on a neutral ground and the proceeds from the sale will be shared equally if their two – leg tie application is not accepted.

The semi-finals will take place on June 15th and 16th. Kotoko will travel to Accra to face Hearts, while AshantiGold will face Karela United in Obuasi.

The winners will face the final on June 23rd.

The champions will represent Ghana at the Caf Champions League next season.
