THANKS GIVING KOTOKO Kotoko failed to reach the quarter-finals of the competition

Management, technical team members and Asante Kotoko's players held a Thanksgiving service at Unity Church in Asokwa-Kumasi on Friday following their release from the CAF Confederation Cup.

The team went to thank God after a tough campaign in Africa, which allowed them to reach the group stages of the competition for the first time since 2008.

Kotoko failed to qualify for the quarter-finals after a 2-1 loss to Zesco United in Zambia last week.

Despite the lack of football in Ghana, the Porcupine Warriors had a 100% victory record in Kumasi, but could only win one victory on the road, against Cameroon's Sport Cameroon.

Meanwhile, the time spent by coach C.K Akonnor in the club is under scrutiny after their elimination from Africa.

It is unclear whether he will remain as a club coach in the coming weeks, but there is information that he will face the dismissal.

The team led by Dr. Kwame Kyei, however, thanked all stakeholders before last night's Thanksgiving service.
