Professional services firm KPMG has announced plans to create up to 400 jobs over the next three years in Glasgow.

The positions will be based in KPMG's new managed services hub, its second center in the UK alone.

The company said 200 jobs would be created in the short term, with 50 already in place and another 150 starting in June.

Up to 200 additional jobs are expected, which increases activities in Scotland.

The roles will include data collectors, badysts, and managers.

Apprentices and graduates will also be hired, as well as experienced professionals.

The hub will be based next to KPMG's Tax Excellence Center on St. Vincent Street, where the firm has taken two additional floors.

The hub is based in KPMG's offices at 123 St Vincent Street.

The team will conduct extensive due diligence and data badysis for clients, including handling regulatory requirements, handling complaints and resolving customer issues.

KPMG said that the decision to open the center in Glasgow was supported by the "recognition of the depth of talent in Scotland".

Catherine Burnet, KPMG Senior Partner in Scotland, said: "Managed Services will play a key role in the growth of the company in Scotland.

"We recognize that the country has a wealth of talent from its schools, colleges and universities, as well as an established financial services sector, and we want to leverage them as part of our long-term strategy. "

KPMG currently employs 1,050 people in Scotland.
