Solomon Tettey Appiah, Chief Municipal Officer (MCE) The Municipal Assembly of Kpone-Katamanso has launched, “One Electoral Area-One Project Fund”, to help Assembly members undertake specific projects in their electoral area .
Mr. Appiah told Ghanaian-Tema News Agency in an interview that the initiative would help accelerate development in the various electoral areas in accordance with the ruling New Patriotic Party believes in development.
He pledged to continue to work and to get in touch with the relevant authorities to ensure that Kpone-Katamanso receives its rightful share of the national pie when it comes to development.
Mr. Appiah noted that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was determined under this second term to accelerate the development initiated during the first term.
He added that residents trusted Assembly members to play an advocacy role in the development of their communities; and thanks to the “one constituency” project fund, “we will ensure that we reach our target and our set objectives for which we serve the population”.
Mr Appiah further revealed that plans are well advanced by the central government to repair most of the municipality’s main roads.
