However, according to the teachers, the GES, in a letter dated 27 February 2019 and signed by the Director General, Professor Kwasi Opoku Amankwa, urged teachers who are not interested in this agreement to provide for an exit. form available in all GHG offices nationally.

GNAT Regional President for Ashanti, Peter Boateng, in his place part stated that they were aware of the GES attempt to introduce the insurance policy for teachers but that they had failed to make a national awareness of the people involved.

He explained that since last June, GNAT reminded the GES-SIC to make sure that it round the whole country to educate all teachers about the policy and the benefits that just with her so that they decide to join or not.
