Dr. Kwabena Donkor, MP for the Pru East constituency, said that 75% of Ghana's parliamentarians were suffering from hypertension or diabetes.

This, he said, is the result of their busy schedules and the pressures they face daily.

In his address in Citi FM's Eyewitness News, Donkor said he was under a lot of pressure during his term as Minister of Energy under the John Mahama government.

According to him, he was under intense pressure at the time of the "dumsors", adding that most of his fellow MPs were subjected to the same pressure.

He further stated that about 75% of his colleagues in Parliament could suffer from "BP or diabetes".
