Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah paid tribute to Charles Mensah Gapson, revealing that it was the man who had discovered him.
The star of Inter Milan began his career with Kaaseman FC before joining Liberty Professionals, based in Accra, in 2006.
Several football experts have always credited the late Alhaji Sly Tetteh, president and CEO of Liberty Professional, for discovering this 30-year-old man.
But Asamoah claimed that it was a Mr. Mensah Gapson who had discovered his talent and handed it over to the late Sly Tetteh.
"Football was my pbadion from a very young age. I remember when I started playing professionally around the age of 17 or 18, some of my friends at the time mentioned my name to Charles Mensah Gapson, who came to see me. He took me to Liberty Professionals. It was very important to me, "revealed the former star of Juventus on Football Italia.
Asamoah has become a star for Ghana's senior national team, with four participations in the Africa Cup of Nations and two FIFA World Cup tournaments.
He has ambaded 70 appearances in the famous white jersey, scoring 4 goals in the process.
