September 21, 2021 has been marked as a public holiday to celebrate the birthday of one of the founders of today’s Ghana, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
YEN.com.gh took to the streets to find out if Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah would be proud of Ghana’s current state if he was alive.
Speaking to YEN team, a gentleman spotted in a yellow shirt, selling cellphone cases, said Kwame Nkrumah must be feeling very sad in the land of the dead.

According to him, everything Nkrumah worked hard for has gone down the drain and Ghanaian youth are now feeling the heat.
Another woman, who was seen selling toothpaste, said no president did what Kwame Nkrumah did.
The middle-aged woman said the leaders did not have an impact like Kwame Nkrumah did.

She added that Ghana would have been a better place to live if he was still alive.
A passerby who was clearly not excited about the holidays said it was an unnecessary event to host in honor of someone who died years ago.
According to him, a small commemorative event should have been held at the seat of government to honor Nkrumah instead of the whole country taking a day off.
The video shared on Facebook drew some reactions from Ghanaians who claim that Nkrumah would not have been happy with the way things are going now.

Legend Smart, legally known as Blessed Godsbrain Smart, said Ghana’s first president, the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah, asked him to deliver a message to Ghanaian youth.
According to a post on GhanaWeb, host Onua Maakye said Dr Kwame Nkrumah had promised “to help any young Ghanaian who decides to run for president or run for parliamentary seat on December 7, 2024”.
Captain Smart claimed that Osagyefo, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, let him know through a revelation.
