Black stars
AFC Wimbledon striker, Kwesi Appiah, believes the Black Stars have much more talent to win the title of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations than the 2015.
The four champions seek to end their 37-year wait for continental success after winning their last title in 1982.
The countries of West Africa are about to end their drought in the last six tournaments, having reached the semifinals and even going to the finals in 2010 and 2015 .
According to the 28-year-old 28-year-old striker, the Ghanaian team in 2019 is potentially more talented than the group of players that reached the 2015 Nations Cup final in Equatorial Guinea.
"The band was built over a long period of time, and in 2015, manager Avram Grant was new, so he had to pick players for a short time without having to sleep together for a long time," said Appiah. at BBC.com
"This time, the experience as a group is much tighter because they have participated in training camps, qualifying, friendly matches and that manager is building this team around this tournament at its best potential. "
Appiah scored two goals in seven appearances with the Black Stars in the 2015 competition.
Ghana will play in Group F of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt alongside Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau.
