Former Ghanaian Vice President George Afriyie urged Black Stars head coach James Akwasi Appiah to be tough on this selection of players before the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. .

Former coach Al Khartoum gave his first participation to the national team in Ghana's final qualifiers against Kenya and in a friendly match against Mauritania in Accra.

"We are in a country where football is ok, but Kwesi Appiah has to consider the captain.I know he knows his team for the competition, but I think he has to be tough in his commands.

"He said that he was not going to add players, but it's a tournament we have to win and it will not be easy because there are now 24 AFCON teams, but I think that With the right players, Ghana will do better, "he added.

The 32nd edition of the tournament will start from June 21 to July 19 in Egypt.
