Kyle Richards from The real housewives of Beverly Hills should consider adding "professional party planner" to his long resume. She just reconvened her party magic and started what seemed to be the perfect birthday party for her niece, Brooke Wiederhorn.
Richards has organized several wonderful evenings while being on RHOH. But the recent baby shower she co-hosted for Andy Cohen showed that Richards really had the gift of creating the ultimate party. Cohen's shower set the bar a little higher to meet the baby's expectations. From the crystal, candles and flowers to the food and dance festival; Cohen's shower was a shower for the books.
So what was the baby shower that she had thrown for Wiederhorn? Richards has integrated his style and added special and gentle elements.
It was a family affair
The guest of honor is the daughter of Richards's sister and former RHOBH alum, Kim Richards. The party also took place at Richards sumptuous home, but she had help. Nicky Hilton, niece, also co-hosted the party with her. Hilton is the daughter of Richards' sister, Kathy. And while Richards had spoken in tears about his sisters, Kim and Kathy were present and the sisters looked very happy and comfortable together.
Richards has generously posted on the baby shower to his Instagram story. She included a video showing children and grandchildren running outside, around the long family table set in the yard. "I'm at Brooke's shower in Kyle's beautiful house," Kathy explains in her Instagram story as she heads for the long table. "Look at this table, it's beautiful." Meanwhile, Kyle says thank you, laughs and comments on the beautiful day.
Many children also have fun on the swing set in the backyard. Richard's daughter, Sophia, has returned from college. Her father, Mauricio Umansky, pushes her hard on the swing as she looks serious.
It's always nice
Richards has an amazing ability to capture the right mood and create the perfect mood for any occasion. Lunch in the courtyard was elegant, but casual, as the children could run freely.
No Richards party would be complete without a fun food. For example, she set up a cotton candy burrito station. It included a number of jars filled with different types of crunchy candies and cereals. In addition, as many family members celebrated their birthday, Richards had a birthday cake for each person. "There are a lot of celebrations today," says Richard as the camera scans the delicious cakes.
And includes sweet touches too
This baby is a second child for Wiederhorn. His lovable son, Hucksley, is also at the baby shower, so Richards did something to help the little one feel included. In addition to the many other cakes in the shower, Richards also prepared a special cake for Hucksley. "Welcome, Hucksley's little brother" was written on a cake.
No party is complete without music. She has fun-filled airs in the yard, as well as commentary on a song. "Oh my God, it's Teddi's father's song," Richards chuckled as she scanned the long, beautiful harvest table. John Mellencamp's song "Jack and Diane" is heard in the background.
Fortunately, Richards also added some pictures of the table in his Instagram story. As at Cohen's party, she set up a long, firm-style table so that all guests could sit together. She used clbadic white sheets and plates, as well as a superb crystal glbadware. The flowers cover the table, which included hydranga shades of white, cream and light blue.
