Kylian Mbappé becomes the youngest player to reach 50 goals in Ligue 1 in 45 years

Kylian Mbappé has become the fastest player in history to reach 50 goals in Ligue 1 over the past 45 years, having scored a brace for Paris Saint-Germain against Nimes.

Yannick Stopyra, a former actor from Sochaux and Toulouse, achieved this feat at the age of 21 in December 1982 and Djibril Cissé approached it in October 2003 at the age of 22.

Mbappé, however, managed to break the record in a brilliant season for PSG.

The 20-year-old French striker already equaled Ronaldo Luís Nazário of Lima's Champions League goals record earlier this month, as he showed a hefty talent against Montpellier earlier this week.

PSG president Nbader Al-Khelaifi recently told the Parisian that there was a "2,000% chance" that Mbappé and Neymar will not leave the club this summer.

"They will stay in Paris," he added.

"Many media, especially in France, say that it would sell Neymar or Kylian.

"I want to confirm that Kylian and Neymar will stay here."
