Birim's central municipal management of the Business Advisory Center (BAC) provided youth in the municipality with skills that could be used in the pastry and leather goods business to help them run their own businesses.
The training provided under the National Council of Small Industries (NBSSI) Youth Entrepreneurship and Employability (YEEP) program is designed to help youth gain valuable skills in entrepreneurship and management. d & # 39; company.
Mr. Richard Mongson, the city official, told the ISD during a talk at the end of a five-day training program in Aboabo and Oda Nkwanta that the program was supported by the Government of Ghana as part of the rural enterprise project.
He said that young people between the ages of 15 and 35, who were mostly unemployed and those who were already working in micro and small enterprises (SMEs), were targeted to benefit from the program.
The goal is to help reduce mining and illegal migration, save lives and help young people contribute to the nation-building process.
The goal, he said, was to help reduce poverty, increase community prosperity and achieve sustainable development goals.
Mr. Dennis Agyei, member of the Assembly in Oda Nkwanta, congratulated NBSSI and the government for this initiative, saying that this initiative would serve as a lifelong help to the population in the face of poverty and unemployment.
Victoria Baidoo of Aboabo, who attended the entrepreneurship training program, congratulated IBC for this initiative and said that her plan was to establish a shoe store in her community, adding that she would be getting it soon a permit for such an operation.
However, she thanked the Government of Ghana through NBSSI and the Rural Enterprise Program for their intervention and asked for more support by providing start-up kits to participants after the training.
