The film itself is nominated for Best Film while Cooper and Lady Gaga are named respectively for Best Actor and Actress.
Sam Elliot is also nominated for the supporting female role for her role in the film, which has also received nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography and Sound Mixing.
In a series of tweets in recent days, the Academy has also confirmed that Jennifer Hudson will perform at the ceremony, as will Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. We do not know yet if Kendrick Lamar and SZA will perform their song 'All the Stars' of the band Black Panther soundtrack.
In a recent NME Lukas Nelson talked about writing songs for the film and collaborating with Cooper and Lady Gaga.
