Derby has swelled his ranks in midfield by signing Andy King a loan from Leicester until the end of the season.

King joined the Foxes when he was young in 2004 and since his debut in the first team three years later, he has presented 379 times in all competitions.

He was part of the team that won a superb Premier League title in 2015/16, although he fell into the rank order under Claude Puel.

King, who was on loan to Swansea for the second half of last season, has played only once for Leicester this season and was replaced by the surprise defeat of the third round in Newport.

Derby manager Frank Lampard said the 28-year-old, who has been selected 50 times by Wales, still has a lot to offer.

On Derby's website, he said, "We are delighted to welcome Andy King to Derby County for the remainder of the season.

"He is a talented and experienced midfielder who competed in the Premier League and the top of the championship with great success.

"I'm sure it will have a positive impact on the team for the rest of the season."
