FRANK LAMPARD has sent eight young Chelsea stars back to London after a preparatory training camp in Ireland, reports said.
The Blaff's new go-getter gave the youth a chance to tie 1-1 with the Bohemians earlier this week.
But according to the reliable Twitter source @CarefreeYouthLamps, 41, has now decided to eliminate players who are not in his plans for next season.
Among them, the well-known Marc Guehi and Dujon Sterling, who started and impressed against the Bohemians in Dublin.
Conor Gallagher, the year player of the Chelsea Academy, was also sent home.
Trevoh Chalobah, Lewis Baker, Lucas Piazon, Izzy Brown and Ike Ugbo are the other starlets of the Blues returned to London.
We expect that they are all on loan – hoping to make a breakthrough similar to that of Reece James in Wigan last season – or sold this summer.
Lampard should rely heavily on the academy players in his first season as a Chelsea coach despite the FIFA transfer ban.
And skipper Cesar Azpilicueta promised that the senior members of the team would take care of their younger teammates.
He said that he [Lampard] is very keen to give opportunities to young players.
"All senior players, we are happy and we try to help them all.
"Frank is very familiar with young players and his team has worked with many young people over the years.
"We have the best academy in England and obviously it's a chance for everyone to show up and see them in the first team."
Meanwhile, James, 19, was operated on damaged ankle ligaments.
For Lampard, the hard blow was to rely on the side defender 's talent to launch the first team action.
