Akhigbe would travel along the LASU-ISHERI road in Lagos when he fell from the car and was seriously injured in the head.
Some eyewitnesses helped him to take him to a nearby hospital where he received first aid care.
Considering the seriousness of his injuries, Akhigbe was transferred the same night to the University Hospital of Lagos University for better treatment, but he fainted and never been healed.
