The speaker stated that the words and symbols of social networks prevent students from writing consistently.
"Nowadays, it is rare not to use social media when writing scripts of law students.I am confident that very soon they will use emoji". This is the revelation of a law professor at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Judge Srem-Sai.
During an interview on StarrFm under the supervision of Ghanacrusader.com, the use of social media words and symbols seems to have been ingrained in students, making it difficult for them to write consistent way.
"Sometimes when you're writing scripts, you see a shortcut on social media. The only thing you do not see is the emoji. I'm sure we'll see emoji very soon. A friend and I had a conversation and he said that if you had to mark English alone, you could have a mbadive failure.
"Language and communication of thoughts is a big challenge for many students. I wonder why students simply can not communicate their thoughts on paper, "he said.
Judge Sai also blamed mbad failure at Ghana's law school for the growing syndrome of student workers.
According to him, unlike in the past where only a few law students worked while studying, the situation is currently reversed, with many law school students currently holding full-time jobs with senior positions in their law firms. .
"To the extent that there is a general decline in the program itself, law students will generally have to answer some of these questions. Previously, you are in law school one hundred percent, you are not in school and do not work at the same time. But today, the trend is reversed. Only about 10% are full-time students, many are full-time employees with high positions who also study law. Some also have families. This means you have less time to learn how to make notes. " he noted.
