6ix9ine adds a new lawyer to his defense team in the federal racketeering case.

According to court documents obtained by XXL On Tuesday, July 9, Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, the lawyer that Jay-Z hired to contribute to the 21 Savage ICE case last February, officially joined Tekashi's defense. He was added to the 6ix9ine team, which also includes Lance Lazzaro, Dawn Florio and Emma Maya Greenwood, at a hearing Tuesday at the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse.

By the time he was hired by Jay-Z on Feb. 6, Spiro said the rest of the 21 Savage team would do its best to make sure that 21 would be released under ICE custody. The rapper, who had been arrested on February 3 and suspected of being an illegal immigrant, was released exactly one week after his hiring.

For his part, 6ix9ine is still incarcerated in a penitentiary facility, as he has been since his arrest on November 18, 2018, accusing the federal racketeering. He changed his plea to guilt at a hearing on January 23rd. As part of his advocacy, he agreed to cooperate with the federal government in his attempts to identify his badociates charged with similar crimes.

Of the 11 people accused with Tekashi in the case, all but two pleaded guilty. Anthony "Harv" Ellison and Aljermiah "Nuke" Mack are not the only ones to have pleaded guilty.

At present, the federal racketeering case of 6ix9ine should be tried on September 4th.
