Juventus have scored two goals in the last 16 minutes to secure their 2-1 defeat of Lazio at Stadio Olimpico and preserve their unbeaten Serie A.

Joao Cancelo tied for Juve after a goal from Emre Can gave Lazio the advantage. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored the winner of the penalty spot two minutes from the end.

Lazio, eighth, has lost nine of its last 10 Serie A matches against the Turinese.

Lazio was totally dominant in the first half when Juve failed to make a single goal attempt, while hosts forced Wojciech Szczesny to make five saves before half-time.

After 13 minutes, the Polish goalkeeper did not worry about Wallace's head and dipped to the bottom to keep Joaquin Correa's shot past six minutes later.

But the Biancocelesti continued to put pressure, the Spanish Luis Alberto proved to be a particular threat.

Szczesny held up well against goalkeeper Marco Parolo, who forced the best stop of the half with a curling shot at 15 yards.

Just before the break, central defender Daniele Rugani gave Lazio almost the advantage. The head of his team returned to Szczesny. Ciro Immobile's player raised the goal, but the lob of the attacker on the goalkeeper was overtaken by a recovering Rugani.

Alberto is closer after the interval, curling just off the right 20 meter post.

Juve started pushing forward and proposing an offensive threat, but failed to create any significant chance of his possession in the last third.

And Lazio was right to take advantage after 58 minutes thanks to his own goal. Alberto's corner was bombarded at the first post by Bastos and shot Can's head in the farthest corner.

Simone Inzaghi's 67 players should have scored after 67 minutes when Correa let Immobile slip through, but Lazio's top scorer was dominated by the bar.

The fleeing league leaders' response did not materialize and the domination of Lazio was maintained. Alberto shot another few inches before Sergej Milinkovic-Savic came close.

But Lazio was forced to pay for not having buried its chances, Juventus equalizing totally against the race after 74 minutes.

Federico Bernardeschi followed on the left by Paulo Dybala, author of the first shot of Juve, countered by Thomas Strakosha, but Cancelo did not miss.

Senad Lulic brought Cancelo back to the box four minutes from time. VAR finally awarded the penalty kick that was slammed to the ground by Ronaldo.
