The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, urged the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to show courage and resilience in the performance of his duties.
It should focus on the work to be done for the realization of the government’s vision of improving the living conditions of the people.
“Leadership is about sacrifice,” Asantehene noted, expressing optimism that the president would work diligently to keep his campaign promises.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu was addressing the President when he paid him a courtesy visit at Manhyia Palace, Kumasi, as part of his working visit to the Ashanti region.
Nana Akufo-Addo is in the region on a four-day working tour to inspect ongoing development projects, interact with the population and also explain government development policies to citizens.
Asantehene commended the President for his commitment to first-hand inspecting various projects underway in the region.
This, he said, was necessary as the President would be in a better position to appreciate the progress of the work and the challenges associated with these projects.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said the government will not stop keeping its election promises to improve the socio-economic status of the country.
“I will not disappoint the people,” he assured the king, citing the government’s determination to complete all the development projects underway in Ashanti.
This ranged from Kumasi International Airport, Boankra Inner Port Project, Kwadaso Creative Arts (SHS) High School, JA Kufour SHS, as well as various road projects.
The President congratulated Asantehene and Asanteman for their unwavering support for his administration.
