Some members of the party were present to pay their last respects
Lee Ocran, former Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency and former Minister of Education under President Atta Mills, is residing today, Saturday, April 13, 2019.
The late Lee Tandoh Ocran, former member of Parliament for Jomoro, pbaded away on Thursday, February 21, 2019.
The former high commissioner in South Africa and former deputy of Jomoro died on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 37 Accra Military Hospital. Mr. Ocran reportedly struggled with health problems for several days before dying.
He spent 74 years on this land and left three children, as well as a wife.
His burial is underway in his hometown, Nawule, near Half Assini, in the Jomoro municipality, in the West region.
In his tribute, the former president and flag bearer of the NDC, Mr. Mahama pointed out that the late Lee Ocran was a very respectful person and a friend.
He also added that he was very liberal in giving him policy lessons.
"… Lee Ocran was an unrepentant nkrumist and I know that I come from the nkrumist family, I became a close friend, we became friends in East Legon," he said.
He continued "… Of course, we know what Lee Ocran's work has done not only for our party but also for us when we were in government, he has held many positions and his vision."
He added: "Of course, we all know Lee Ocran because he was very respectful of principles and if he believed in something, he could do nothing to change his mind."
"We lost a real comrade and a friend, even at the last minute on his hospital bed, I thought … still at work, I went to visit him at the hospital and he l & # 39; 39, then woke up, I spoke to him, he smiled and I told him that he did not deserve to be here at that time because in 2020 we have a very serious problem in front of us ".

"On behalf of the entire NDC party, we wish our comrade Lee Ocran a peaceful rest, let his soul rest in peace," he concluded.
