Arsenal fans have been baffled by the absence of Mesut Ozil in recent weeks.
And the legendary Gunners, Martin Keown, believes that the German midfielder must redouble efforts during training to find his place in training.
But Ozil, who was not even on the day's squad for the 1-0 loss to West Ham last weekend, should miss again.
John Cross, editor-in-chief for football at Mirror Football, reports that Ozil is back in the Arsenal team to face Chelsea – but only on the bench.
Ozil posted a post on Instagram to show that he is fit, having not started in the Premier League since the Boxing Game.
Ozil, who also drew a picture of his training, said, "Another full training week for the team. Feel good and confident. "
The future of Ozil is uncertain because the midfielder at £ 350,000 has been frozen in recent weeks.
Emery said Ozil had a knee injury, but the German star is ready for the Chelsea match, having been ready for the match against West Ham last Saturday.
Keown, writing in the Daily Mail, thinks Ozil can easily turn his career in Emirates, but only if he makes extra efforts.
"The reputation alone will not get you into the Emery team," Keown said.
"You have to graft. If the manager thinks Ozil has shown the necessary work ethic this week, he has a very good chance of playing today. "
