Students at the University of Ghana (Legon) are in mourning following the death of a colleague who was in her final year.

The deceased has been identified as Daniel Anane Wadie.

Master Wadie is said to have died at the University of Ghana hospital where he was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Some friends, who are still in shock and have yet to come to terms with the news of her disappearance, revealed that the incident happened a day before her discharge exam.

They also can’t understand the last message he posted on his WhatsApp status.

He would have read: When my body is gone, remember my heart.

Mr. Wadie is reportedly a Member of Parliament at the University of Ghana.

Some of his colleagues have since taken to social media to mourn him.

Trend with the #RIPVandalDanny and #LegonIsRed, a candlelight vigil in his honor is scheduled for Friday, September 10, 2021 at 9:30 p.m. on the school campus.
