Leicester City has rejected two offers for Harry Maguire, supposedly Manchester City's target, said Brendan Rodgers.
It is believed that the English international Maguire will interest the two Manchester clubs, United having been linked to the 26 year old athlete a year ago while José Mourinho was in post.
An agreement did not materialize at the time and the defender signed a new five-year contract in September 2018.
However, United would have renewed its interest and Leicester's boss, Rodgers, revealed Tuesday that his club had rejected two player deals valued at 80 million pounds.
In quotes published by the Leicester Mercury after Maguire played 45 minutes in a pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe United, Rodgers said: "It's really simple and we're pretty laid-back.
"Harry is a leading player, and of course he's gotten the interest with two deals, but they're far from the club's value.
"Harry is relaxed about this – we are – he has been absolutely brilliant, I must add, because I am in a similar situation over and over and it can be very difficult for the players, but that is not the case. is a special guy. "
According to reports, Maguire informed Leicester of his intention to leave and, although Rodgers did not want to comment on these suggestions, he admitted to having seen the appeal of clubs linked to his player.
"Any conversation with me and a player would be private," he added.
"If a team like Man City or Man United is interested, I understand the attraction.
"We are relaxed because until the badessment is done, there is no decision to make."
