Popular media personality Toke Makinwa condemned the arrest of Mr Macaroni and other End SARS protesters by Nigerian police on Saturday at the Lekki tollgate.

Macaroni was arrested alongside some protesters at the Lekki toll booth on Saturday morning.

Makinwa, reacting, accused the Nigerian government of constantly finding ways to make its citizens bleed.

The fashion enthusiast insisted that Nigerian police were arresting peaceful protesters who had elected Lagos State Governor Babajide-Sanwo-Olu to power.

On his Twitter page, Makinwa wrote: “A government that constantly seeks to bleed its citizens, bad governance, police brutality, poverty, extortion, lack of jobs, failure of the education system, and the list is endless, what is our offense? #EndSARS #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria #Lekkitollgate. “

Nigeria can really really test you Lagos State government you need youth police @jidesanwoolu arresting peaceful protesters who voted you is a cheap blow it is abuse of our fundamental right to protest peacefully #EndSARS #Lekkitollgat. “

“A few days ago Obalende was on fire, who did you arrest? Where was the police ???? It’s so tiring, our tired is tired. #Freetheprotesters #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality. “
