Ghana’s Tijjaniya Muslim Movement (TMMG) congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his decisive position on LGBTQ + activities in Ghana.
“We are convinced that the actions of groups such as LGBTQ and other inhumane acts perpetrated against humanity in general are the main causes of the great problems facing humanity,” the group said in a statement.
The statement signed by Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman, executive secretary, and copied to Ghana’s news agency in Tema, said the leaders’ inaction to stop and prevent these heinous crimes against humanity was clear disobedience to the will of Allah Almighty.
The Movement said it considers it appropriate to congratulate President Akufo-Addo for his bold stance which will go a long way in protecting the moral fabric of society.
The Group expressed optimism that future governments would continue to discourage the practice of homosexuality in the country.
