The set was set to promote Montero, the debut album by Lil Nas X, which will arrive this month.

Following online reviews, Lil Nas X, real name Montero Hill, tweeted: “Let me disconnect, all this negative energy is not good for the baby.”

Lil Nas X told People he got the idea for the pregnancy while listening to Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on her new song Dolla Sign Slime.

He later revealed he hired security guards following the controversy after being confronted on the street.

This week, Lil Nas X received the title of First-ever Suicide Prevention Advocate of the Year from LGBT suicide prevention organization The Trevor Project.
