Limp Bizkit took a short moment at their concert in Iowa last night to pay tribute to Joey Jordison. After the crowd started chanting the name of the late Slipknot drummer, Fred Durst said a few words about each day’s appreciation.
Limp Bizkit is currently on tour with Spiritbox for one of the most bizarre and epic Bills of 2021. On August 2, the tour stopped in Clive, Iowa, about an hour from Des Moines, the home of Slipknot.
“Slipknot is coming from somewhere around here, isn’t it?” Fred Durst told the crowd, who began to sing “Joey!” Joey! Joey! “
“Rest in peace, let’s listen to him,” said Durst. “It’s beautiful. Life is short and it’s always fleeting so, man, let’s just remember that all we are is right now. Let’s make the most of it, let’s make it awesome. You never know, man, you never know never never.

Slipknot and Limp Bizkit had a short feud two decades ago when Fred Durst allegedly called Slipknot fans a “bunch of fat ugly kids.” According to Corey Taylor, an anonymous rock star told him about Durst’s comments. Limp Bizkit then performed at the 2014 edition of Knotfest Japan, hinting that both bands had buried the hatchet.
