The South American football federation, CONMEBOL, suspended Lionel Messi from international matches with Argentina for three months because of accusations of corruption he made at the Copa America.

The 32-year-old will not play for Argentina's September games against Chile and Mexico, plus two more in October against Germany and another opponent to come.
Neither Messi nor the Argentine Football Association commented on CONMEBOL's decision.
Messi is already suspended from the first match of the World Cup qualifiers in South America next March because of the red card that he received against Chile.
The Argentinian was sent off for only the second time of his career after a tough match against Chilean midfielder Gary Medel, who also received his orders.

Messi avoided the medal ceremony in protest and said later that Argentina "should not take part in this corruption".
The Argentinian also said that the tournament was scheduled for the host country, Brazil, to prevail.
Messi had already complained about the Copa America arbitration after Argentina's 2-0 defeat of Brazil in the semi-final.
