Injury or not, it still seemed unlikely that Tangier welcomes Lionel Messi Tuesday night.
After an absence that went from the World Cup to last week, Messi returned for Argentina against Venezuela and managed to hurt his pelvic bone. But the stories before this match in Madrid had already suggested that the man from Barcelona would not play against Morocco.
The Moroccan FA is now planning to request his absence because he was promised a team of stars as part of their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations. Without Messi, Argentina has nothing that shines.
