Lionel Richie's son detained and warned of a bomb threat at London's airport

Lionel Richie's son, Miles, was arrested by police at London Heathrow Airport, UK, after claiming he had an explosive in his bag.

TMZ reports that the model was that of the London Metropolitan Police who had issued a warning for "communication of false information causing a bomb hoax and battery following an incident at Terminal 5 of the Heathrow Airport (airport) ".

It is also reported that Miles was trying to catch a plane when he was denied. At this point, he became angry and claimed that he had a bomb in his bag and that he would detonate if he was not allowed to board.

Security then arrived before Miles hit one of them.

The police told E! News in a statement "On Saturday 19 January, a 24-year-old man accepted a warning for providing false information causing a hoax and a bomb battery following an incident at Heathrow Terminal 5 more early in the morning."

After being arrested by the police, he received a warning and was released, according to TMZ.
