LIST: Prez Akufo Addo directs Sir John, Maxwell Kofi Jumah and KK Sarpong to the retreat of other political leaders

The Presidency has directed the Directors General (CEOs) of some eight public institutions to proceed with mandatory retirement.

The directive is consistent with a provision of the Public Service Act that requires public servants to retire from the public service at the age of sixty (60) and their possible extension of five (5) additional years.

The Directors General concerned are Mr. Eugene Ofosuhene, 67, Controller and General Accountant, Mr. Maxwell Kofi Jumah, 68, Managing Director, Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC); Mr. Isaac Osei, 67, General Manager of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR); Mr. Kwame Owusu, 67 years old, CEO of the Ghana Maritime Authority and Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John), 65, CEO of Forestry Commission.

The others are Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, 65, General Manager of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Samuel Annor, 64, CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority and MKK. Sarpong, 65, CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

They must leave their offices in March 2019.
