Ruslan Malinovskyi admitted that he felt "betrayed" by Genk while the Belgian club was trying to prevent a potential transfer to Roma this summer, the newspaper reports. HLN.
The Ukrainian midfielder refused the opportunity to join Serie A at the winter transfer window last season. Genk has promised not to obstruct the transfer once the season is over.
"They did not want to let me go last year, but they promised not to hinder the transfer this summer," he told HLN.
"Now they do not keep their promises and I feel betrayed … I'm 26 years old and I want to play in a larger context."
