The German Greens celebrated the wave of German elections in the European legislative elections calling it "the signal for greater climate protection".
The Greens then celebrate that the exit vote is announced on the public TV channels during the election night of May 26

Sven Giegold, the party's MEP, said the Greens "will bring the voice of the street climate movement to Parliament and work for European cohesion".
"Today was a Sunday of the future, it was an election of choice and people chose air conditioning and a united Europe."
The lead candidate, Sven Giegold, said that he had taken the results "as a mission to finally act" on the climate.
