Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has announced a strong comeback for Trent Alexander-Arnold – but admits he's still no idea of Joe Gomez's return.
Alexander-Arnold will miss Monday's Premier League trip to West Ham United as he recovers from the knee problem that has spread him past two games.
His absence was compounded by a right-back injury crisis with James Milner and Jordan Henderson on Wednesday against Leicester City.
Alexander-Arnold is expected to resume full training next week, which should put him in competition for Bournemouth's Saturday visit.
And Klopp said, "Trent is getting better and better, really close.
"I hope he's in full training next week. It's fine, but not for the moment.
Gomez has been sidelined since he's fractured his leg while he was receiving Ben Mee's mighty tackle during the 2-1 win at Burnley on Dec. 5.

Liverpool had initially hoped the defender would return to the game earlier this month, but Klopp revealed last week that the player had suffered a setback in his recovery.

Klopp also talked about Lazar Markovic's career in Liverpool, which finally ends after the parody of Anfield, who was no longer playing for the Reds' first team since May 2015, but goes to Fulham for the rest of the season. the season.
"I can imagine that it has been incredibly difficult for him," said the Liverpool boss. "It was not too easy for me, but it is not too important, having a player like him in the wider team but who does not use it.
"But Lazar knew for a long time how our plans were. For various reasons, his transfers (far from Liverpool) did not work. We were not responsible for that, let me say it like that.
"Now he can use and show his potential to Fulham, I'm happy for him. It's a good boy and I hope it will work for him.
