Liverpool’s side for the knockout stages of the Champions League had been confirmed.
The Reds were expected to submit their new roster by today and the UEFA website has been updated with the changes.
Clubs are allowed to register a maximum of three new players for the round of 16 of the competition.
And that’s exactly what manager Jurgen Klopp did – with new signing Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak now with fellow defender Nat Phillips.
Joel Matip has been taken off the list but Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are still part of the European squad.
Ben Woodburn, along with lenders Takumi Minamino and Harvey Elliott, are the other stars ranked “not in the current list of players” on the UEFA website.
The squad consists of 24 senior stars, with 13 other players on the “B list”.
This second element includes Curtis Jones, Rhys Williams, Neco Williams and 10 junior prospects.
A player may be on the “B list” if he is “born on or after 1 January 1998 and has been authorized to play for the club concerned for an uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday”.
Clubs can put an unlimited number of young people on the “B list” if they wish.
