Sergio Aguero, 24, doubled the double while Argentina 's international scored another hat trick.
English international Sterling then shared a photo of him and City striker Aguero, celebrating after the match.
The message, which Sterling shared on all of his social network accounts, said: "Happy with two badists but even more than three points today, let's wait now …"

With City two points behind Jurgen Klopp, many Liverpool fans said the message "Now, let's wait" was a message for the Reds as they prepared for Monday night's showdown with West Ham at London Stadium.
Liverpool fans know that a win will bring them five points ahead in the Premier League and have reacted to Sterling's online account, The Liverpool Echo.

The Instagram page of Liverpool's goals answered: "Wait what ?!", while another user, aid_mc71, responded in the same way: "Wait what? A blow from the hat of Mo (Salah). "
Sterling's post, although more subtle, comes after his teammate Kyle Walker sparked controversy last week when he reacted to Liverpool's draw with Leicester City.
The right-back wrote: "So, basically, they thought that they were going to have 7 points in advance …" Walker then deleted the message.
