Liverpool reportedly submitted an offer of 45 million euros to engage Sporting Bruno Fernandes midfielder, according to reports reported in Portugal.

The 24-year-old should be one of the most in-demand players during the summer transition period after his strong performance for the Portuguese club this season.

Fernandes, who scored 29 goals and collected 17 badists, has already been closely linked to Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Inter.

However, according to Correio da Manha, Liverpool is the first club to make a formal offer since it has submitted a bid of 45 million euros.

The sport hopes, however, to receive a much higher amount for the Portuguese international, given the number of teams having expressed their interest.

Fernandes has a buyback clause of 100 million euros in his contract with Sporting, but the midfielder should leave for less than that figure.

Last month, information revealed that Manchester City had made an offer of 55 million euros on Fernandes.

Speaking about his future after helping Portugal win the League of Nations, Fernandes suggested that he would be open to a transfer to the Premier League.

"I'm calm, I'm in a big club, I do not need to move, I'm not trying to leave," he said.

"If the opportunity arises to go to a team that you can not refuse, I will talk to Sporting."
