Ouch

The 27-year-old illness was confirmed with embarrbadment on Switzerland's Twitter account

Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri withdrew from the Swiss group for his games against Georgia and Denmark due to a rather embarrbading injury.

The Swiss national team's Twitter account confirmed Shaqiri's exit on Monday night and revealed why the 27-year-old can not play for his country this month.

Without giving any explanation as to how Shaqiri suffered his injury (which we are really grateful for), it was confirmed that the midfielder was suffering from "inflammation in the pubic area".

The Swiss team must give up the services of Xherdan Shaqiri in Georgia (23.3) and against Denmark (26.3.). The player is suffering from inflammation at the pubic area. Shaqiri left the team tonight. His replacement will be announced Tuesday. #GEOSUI #SUIDEN
