Liverpool are not interested in signing Sergio Ramos this summer, despite reports in Spain that the Reds have approached the defender at Anfield.

Ramos and Liverpool fans have a tough rivalry after Reds fans have accused the central defender of deliberately hurting Mohamed Salah in the 2018 UEFA Champions League final.

The bad mood continued long after the final, but it is thought that Ramos would like to leave the Bernabeu this summer after a dark season for Real.

AS claims that Liverpool and Manchester United have made contact with Ramos representatives about a possible change, but the Mirror insists that this information is unfounded.

Liverpool does not intend to sign Ramos and would not consider the Spaniard even though he was available as a free transfer.

Ramos does not match the profile of the player that Jurgen Klopp is looking for, and a senior source at Anfield said that there was a "0.0% chance" on the 33-year-old playing for Liverpool.

Liverpool is not expected to be in the central defensive market this summer and will focus its transfer efforts on the nomination of two players on the team: a back defender and an attacker.

Ramos is believed to have quarreled with Real's hierarchy after criticizing President Florentino Perez's criticism of the team after they left the Ajax Champions League.

Perez slammed the Madrid players in the locker room after the match, but Ramos defended his teammates and reportedly told the club president: "I gave everything for this badge, this club and even for you", before Add: "You pay me and I will leave".

It is unclear whether Zinedine Zidane would allow Ramos, Real's captain, to leave this summer. However, the head coach is planning a major membership review in the coming weeks.

Ramos is under contract until 2021 and he would have several suitors when he decided to move away from Spain.
