The Reds fell to the ground five years ago, but their goalie believes he can do even better.
Liverpool goaltender Simon Mignolet believes his team has everything it takes to win the Premier League title after being terribly close to fame five years ago.
Jurgen Klopp's players are in contention for their first Premier League title since the 1989-90 campaign. The Reds are currently at the top of the standings, four points behind Manchester City.
It's been Liverpool's closest club since a championship since the 2013-14 season, when the Reds won 11 straight games in the stretch, but they lost to Chelsea and tied Crystal Palace in the last two games of the season.

Mignolet, Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson are the only three players on this team to stay in Liverpool, and the Belgian has supported the current iteration of the Reds to do what the team there are five years could not.
Mignolet highlighted Liverpool's more balanced offense as one of the main reasons why it is possible to win the league trophy in May.

"The overall quality of this team is the best I know. When playing 11 against 11 at the training, it's like being involved in a decisive Premier League match.

Another major difference between this year's team and the team of five years ago is in the last row.
Liverpool conceded 50 goals in 2013-14, the best result of the top five this season. However, the Reds have the best defense in the league this season, having allowed only 13 goals in 23 games.
Mignolet pointed to one of the key additions brought by the club last season as one of the main reasons for his team's defensive improvement.

"I think a lot of that [improvement] is Virgil van Dijk, "said Mignolet. "Since his arrival, he has made a huge difference.
"It's not only his ability to play, but also the character and leadership he sends from behind. This is especially important when you play against teams like Brighton and Crystal Palace recently.
"That's the pressure it's mitigating with its compensation headers. He always looks so easy. Something very difficult for anyone, it sounds like a walk in the park for Virgil. It has made us much stronger than before.
